Over the weekend, resident Youtube comedianne, Nicole Arbour, took to her channel to release a video titled Dear Fat People. Some of you may already be cringing at the title of the video alone. In the video, Arbour chooses less than articulate words to express how, in her opinion, the plus sized community needs to do more to lose weight.

If you aren’t familiar with Arbour and her satirical rants, she basically picks a group of people and makes fun of them. Her disclaimer is that she discriminates across the board and no specific group should be upset with her. She even uses her videos to poke fun at herself. However, this being 2015 and everyone having the internet at their fingertips, people aren't too keen on staying quiet.

Once Dear Fat People hit the tube, it wasn’t long before people took notice and made their opinions known. In one part, Arbour mentions “fat shaming” not being a thing and how one time  at the airport, she encountered a family so big they should be on a TLC series.

It wasn't long before, the star of TLC’s My Big Fat Fabulous life, Whitney Thore, took to her personal YouTube channel to respond to Arbour’s video after it had been taken down. See the video below.

Thore used her video to make light of the situation and educate viewers on some misconceptions about the plus sized community. Many well known names like Grace Helbig and plus size model, Tess Holliday quickly came to the defense plus sized people everywhere. Holliday even referred to video as "clickbait" and said she would not engage with the media firestorm.

Some may argue that people now-a-days are too sensitive, others may claim that comedians are too insensitive on serious issues.

As you can see, Arbour isn't backing down!

Do you think people get offended too easily or was Arbour out of line? Sound off!
